Movie Poster, DVD Cover & Motion Title: Her
This project was to re-brand an existing film and design a poster, DVD case and motion title. The film 'Her' is a heart-felt love story by Spike Jonze which features a relationship between a man and an OS. The poster was designed to show both sides of 'Her' which are both programmed codes and the humanistic personality. The motion title maintains the same concept with an abstract style. The music was chosen to mimic the warm and slow feeling of the film.
In this project, I established and designed the identity of her by combining the binary code pattern and the organic human skin-like texture.
The logotype was designed to show the humanistic and fluid identity of her, and to mimic the sound-waves since the vocal conversation was the primary communication between the main character and her.

In the motion title, I explored her identity in a more abstract way. I introduced another logotype for “HER” in a very artificial manner contrast with the original humanistic logotype. The music was meant to mimic the warm and slow feeling of the movie.
